About Our Church
Church History
Skagit Baptist Church was founded In 1993 as a home mission of the Open Door
Baptist Church of Lynnwood Washington. The Church began meeting at the Mt.
Vernon Christian School. In 1998 The Church moved to the church buildiing
which is the current location in Sedro-Woolley.
Skagit Baptist has been served by three Senior Pastor's during its 15 year history.
Our current Pastor has been with us for three years.
Beliefs and practices
We are a Bible believing church. Our practice on Sunday Mornings is to preach
verse by verse through the Bible. We hold to a literal interpretation of the Bible.
We believe in the fundamentals of the Christian faith which include, The Virgin
Birth, the Trinity, the resurrection of Christ, the infallibility of the Bible, and the
second coming.
Skagit Baptist is a "grace church". We are saved by grace through faith in the
substitutionary death of Christ.
The mission of the church is to proclaim the Gospel to all. We emphasize
discipling those who have been reached with the Gospel. Because of this we
have opportunities for outreach as well as many Bible studies. We encourage a
very serious study of God's Word.

following organizations:
Locally - Mt. Baker Baptist Association
Regionally - Northwest Baptist Convention
Nationally - Southern Baptist Convention
